LONDON THE INSIDE REVIEW

Chances are you’ve most likely had at least one paint job in a salon that uses industrial strength polish, removed only by an industrial strength stripper – turps anyone? Our last pedi, done in Thailand in December lasted a little too long without any chips and thus when it did come off it left our nail plates paper thin and in pretty dire condition. Which is why super cute new salon Still London is so refreshing. Completely non-toxic and environmentally friendly, the products are the most gentle you’ll find on the market – even the gel polish won’t wreck your nails.

Located on the Haggerston strip, in what was once Molly Bakes (RIP) the small salon offers nail treatments, facials and even sells a range of crystals. We tried the Icelandic Arctic Ocean Soak, which involved a salt scrub, massage with cold pressed oils and either Kure Bazaar 10-Free polish or Orly 12-Free gel polish. Both brands are free from the whole host of the toxic chemicals usually found in nail varnish making them better for your nails and the planet. The technician who did our feet was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us lots of aftercare advice and tips for our talons.
